Children get one chance with their education and at Whinstone we want this to be the best. We have a determination to ensure that pupils reach their full potential by providing a happy, caring, stimulating and creative environment. Everything we do is driven by our school ethos of “helping each other to be the best we can be”.

The education of our children is a partnership between home and school. By working together, we give children the chance to flourish, developing their talents in an atmosphere which fosters tolerance, independence, resilience, respect and a positive attitude towards learning.

At Whinstone we have staggered start and finish times.

• Pre-School: 8.55am – 3.25pm
• Reception: 9.00am – 3.30pm
• Key Stage 1 (Years 1&2): 8.45am – 3.15pm
• Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3&4): 9.00am – 3.30pm
• Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5&6): 8.45am – 3.15pm

We have a school uniform expectation for all children, but there is no expectation for any uniform item to have a school logo. We also offer high quality pre-loved uniform items. Full details about uniform expectations can be found within our prospectus.
