We are at Cambridge services for lunch, having stopped earlier for a drink and snack. The journey has been uneventful, clear roads helping us to make good time. Children and staff very excited and so pleased for air conditioning on the bus.
We have crossed the Dartford crossing and we are heading down the M20. Traffic was congested over the Thames, but roads are clear again now. We have watched Eddie the Eagle, and we are now at Hogwarts!
We are on time for our Channel Tunnel crossing at 16.20. Excited children!
We have just arrived in France and are on our last leg of the journey. Hope to be at the centre in about half an hour.
After arrival we went in for dinner. We have unpacked our beach clothes and we’re now on the beach playing in front of a magnificent sunset. All happy!
We have had breakfast; cereal, French stick, orange juice and hot chocolate. A beautiful morning here. We are on our way to Laby’Parc. Tidiest rooms? Bella, Abbie and Ellie for the girls; Aidan, Leo, Ben S and Ben F for the boys!
Great morning at Laby’Parc. Loads of activities and challenges completed. Slush drinks, cold cans and plenty if water in the heat! A picnic lunch at the park will be followed by a short drive to the bee keeping farm.
A warm afternoon visit to the Bee Farm. We made beeswax candles and learned about the life cycle of bees and how we get honey 🍯
Chilling on the beach after another FUN day!!!

We have woken to a much cooler morning, thank goodness-only 20 degrees today!
We postponed our war cemetery visit yesterday due to the heat, so we are going there this morning. Also there is a breeze so hopefully sand sailing this afternoon should be exciting. Everybody is well and happy. The week is flying by so quickly, difficult to believe this is our last full day in France!
All of the children have made their beds everyday and kept their rooms very tidy- honestly! They can do it! After three mornings the tidiest boys room is Luke and Xander, and tidiest girls are Ellie, Bella and Abbie. All to play for tomorrow!
Picnic outside the historic town wall at Boulogne sur Mer. Followed a quick visit to the old town. Thunder in the air!
Sea of red(hats) entering Boulonge-sur-mer.
A perfect day for sand sailing, lots of fun for all!!!!
A well-deserved ice cream after an exhilarating afternoon sailing.
Last night on our beach!
Last night at the beach!!!
Our last morning at Le Portel. We have packed our suitcases and loaded the bus. We are shopping at the local street market before departing.
Last photo overlooking our beach. We will be leaving at 10.20 (local time).
Group photo before boarding the coach and head home after a FANTASTIC week!!!!
We are on the Channel Tunnel and moving now. So far we are on time!
Under the sea!
We are in the UK! Stopping for lunch soon, but pleased we are currently ahead of schedule as we were given a slot on an earlier train!
Any time advantage from the early train has been eroded by heavy traffic on the M25. We are slowly heading north on the M11. Children are in great spirits, oblivious to the congestion outside the coach!
We are back on the move after a break at Cambridge. Traffic still heavy, but hopefully will ease as we get further north. Current ETA is between 7 and 7.30. Will give further updates over the next few hours.
Traffic has been very slow moving, but we seem to be moving at a more normal speed now. ETA is 7.30 assuming traffic keeps flowing.
We have just passed Wetherby Services. ETA 7.45.
PLEASE LEAVE ROOM FOR THE COACH IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL.
