Welcome to Whinstone Nursery
If you have a child starting our Nursery from September 2020, we have made a video to introduce to you the staff in nursery.
Parents can apply directly to the school to have their child’s name put on the Nursery waiting list. Children are admitted from 3 years old, depending on places available.
We are a 78 place Nursery and currently we offer two and a half day and half day provision.
Two and half day provision is beginning of the week, all day Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday morning or end of the week, Wednesday afternoon, all day Thursday and Friday.
Half day provision is a morning or an afternoon session Monday to Friday.
Current timings of the day are;
All day sessions 8.55am-3.25pm
Half day sessions 8.55am-11.55am and 12.25pm-3.25pm.
If you have any questions regarding Nursery, you could email Mrs Lofts directly using email@example.com
A member of the Nursery team will contact you in the term prior to your child’s third birthday to discuss places available and the process of accepting a Nursery place with us , to ensure a happy and successful start for your child.
Admission to the Nursery does not secure a full time place in Reception. Parents need to apply separately. Please see the information on Reception admissions regarding applications to the Reception.

What Our Families are Saying
‘Whinstone Nursery is fantastic and I can’t praise the teachers enough! My oldest daughter went there and now my 3 year old is currently there. They both love the Nursery as they have so much fun while learning and have come on leaps and bounds.
The teachers also make great friendships with the children and you can see that in the children’s faces as they walk into Nursery.
I am so glad we chose Whinstone Nursery for our girls.’
‘Cora has always been quite clingy and so when it came to her starting nursery we were quite worried. Thankfully Cora settled into nursery really well and I think this is down to the caring, friendly, fun and enthusiastic staff. Cora loves going to nursery and this is such a relief for us. Cora has made friends and her learning has certainly come on. I couldn’t be anymore thankful to the staff at Whinstone nursery. The way they greet the children at the start of each session, the effort they make to get to know them and how brilliantly they communicate with parents is just fab. I would definitely recommend the nursery and school to other parents.’
‘Whinstone has given my little boy the very best start in his school life. I was nervous on his first day of nursery, but he settled in quickly and loved every minute of his time there.’
‘The teachers at Whinstone Nursery are brilliant. Leo loves coming home and telling us about all the fun he has had and the exciting things he has done. Alfie took a while to settle, especially being dropped off on a morning, but the staff were great with him and he goes into school happily now. Both of my boys love Whinstone Nursery.’
‘Ayhan enjoys going to nursery, Whinstone fills the day with activities from indoor play to outdoor play there is so much for him to do. He does baking too.
The staff are so helpful and kind and have always helped my quiet, shy children settle in.’
‘Casper has come such a long way in both his confidence and intellect since starting nursery, he thoroughly enjoys attending Whinstone. In just a few months he has made some special bonds with both his peers and teachers, bringing him out of his shell and a happy little boy.’
